Murrow and District children's Centre, the story so far...

Sure Start Children’s Centres are at the heart of a ten year government strategy to tackle poverty and improve outcomes for all children. Children centres are a new way of supporting families with children under 5 and offer easy ways to access health and family support, information about local childcare and early education and finding employment or training. It is expected that there will be a sure start children’s centre in every community by 2010, Murrow and District Children’s Centre has been established to serve your community. Although based in Murrow our services reach across nine villages including, Murrow, Guyhirn, Parson Drove, Wisbech St Mary, Gorefield, Leverington, Tydd St Giles, Newton and Thorney Toll.

We offer a variety of services including:            

• Drop in play sessions
• Sing n Sign
• Baby Yoga and massage
• Healthy eating cooking workshops
• Positive parenting support
• Employment, benefit and careers advice
• A meeting place for Childminders
• Smoking cessation
• Support for families with children with additional needs
• Information about local childcare and education
